Book two in the Hush, Hush series
About Crescendo
Nora Grey's life is still far from perfect. Surviving an attempt on her life wasn't pleasant, but atleast she got a guardian angel out of it: a mysterious, magnetic, gorgeous guardian angel. But, despite his role in her life, Patch has been acting anything but angelic. He's more elusive than ever and even worse, he's started spending time with Nora's arch-enemy, Marcie Millar.
Nora would have hardly noticed Scott Parnell, an old family friend who has moved back to town, if Patch hadnt been acting so distant. Even with Scott's totally infuriating attitude Nora finds herself drawn to him - despite her lingering feeling that he's hiding something.
Haunted by images of her murdered father, and questioning whether her nephilim bloodline has anything to do with his death, Nora puts herself increasingly in dangerous situations as she desperatly searches for answers. But maybe some things are better left buried, because the truth could destroy everything - and everyone - she trusts.

Review
I really liked Hush, Hush and I couldn’t wait to read this book.
I don’t think I can get enough of Patch.I enjoyed that I got another look into the world of Patch and Nora.
The problem for me was that instead of getting stronger and closer together, Nora and Patch almost gets more apart in some weird way.
Patch is very distant and unfocused but because he is who he is, it worked in the story. What really annoyed me was Nora who was too angry, sad and very self pitying. It was frustrating to watch her jump from conclusion to conclusion without really having confirmed anything.
This book was darker than the first. I missed some funny parts that I got a few of in the first book, it gave me some kind of break from all the darkness, but at the same time without it, this book seemed more serious and the tension is building.
The overall plot was good though and I liked the deal with “The Black Hand”, it was also very interesting to find out more about what happened with Nora’s dad.
I’m still a fan. This series always surprise me in some way positively and I think that’s great.
I will definitely read the third book in this series, Silence, and I look forward to be surprised again.
I give Crescendo 3 out of 5.
Other books in this series:
1# Hush, Hush
3# Silence (October 25th 2011)

I also really enjoyed the first book, I know a lot of people that didn't. But I also just purchased Crescendo last weekend, so I'm really excited to read it(:
Sorry you didn't enjoy all of the darkness, the first one did have a lot of funny parts(:
