Review: Pleasure Unbound by Larissa Ione

Book one in the Demonica series

About Pleasure Unbound

In a place where ecstasy can cost you your life . . .

She's a demon-slayer who hungers for sensual pleasure-but fears it will always be denied her. Until Tayla Mancuso lands in a hospital run by demons in disguise, and the head doctor, Eidolon, makes her body burn with unslakable desire. But to prove her ultimate loyalty to her peers, she must betray the surgeon who saved her life.

Two lovers will dare to risk all.

Eidolon cannot resist this fiery, dangerous woman who fills him with both rage and passion. Not only is she his avowed enemy, but she could very well be the hunter who has been preying upon his people. Torn between his need for the truth and his quest to find his perfect mate before a horrific transformation claims him forever, Eidolon will dare the unthinkable-and let Tayla possess him, body and soul...

Review

I liked the story between the main character the tough demon slayer Tayla and the hot demon doctor Eidolon.
They have a very intense relationship from the beginning. It’s very classic love/hate and I love it.

Tayla is a strong character who put’s her foot down and have a very strong opinion of what’s right. Sometimes she sees the world a little too black and white even when she’s been proven wrong.

Eidolon is very interesting, I like how he’s not completely the good guy in the story, he is a demon after all and you get to see some of the darker motivations and urges that lures beneath the surface.

Between the two of them, they have a great attraction and passion that you feel as a reader.
The story is full of action and love with a lot of sex. It all goes well together in the story.

The plot was a little boring and forgettable I found myself looking forward to the interactions between Tayla and Eidolon and for me that’s what drove the story forward and it kept you wanting more.

I give Pleasure Unbound 3 out of 5.

Next books in this series:
2# Desire Unchained
3# Passion Unleashed
4# Ecstasy Unveiled
5# Sin Undone

The sex is great in this book! I know some people like the Demonica books with the three original brothers, but I thought they got much better with the 4th one, Ecstacy Unveiled.

I agree with Jen. Although I do love the original 3 brothers, the last two books in the series are the strongest.

Thank you both of you for letting me know that the series gets better with the last books.
I liked this book but there was something missing so I will have to go on now that I know that they get even better:-)
