Three Days to Dead
Kelly Meding
(Dreg City #1)
Published November 24th 2009
They’ll never see her coming. . . .
When Evangeline Stone wakes up naked and bruised on a cold slab at the morgue—in a stranger’s body, with no memory of who she is and how she got there—her troubles are only just beginning. Before that night she and the two other members of her Triad were the city’s star bounty hunters, mercilessly cleansing the city of the murderous creatures living in the shadows, from vampires to shape-shifters to trolls. Then something terrible happened that not only cost all three of them their lives but also convinced the city’s other Hunters that Evy was a traitor—and she can’t even remember what it was.
Now she’s a fugitive, piecing together her memory, trying to deal some serious justice—and discovering that she has only three days to solve her own murder before the reincarnation spell wears off. Because in three days Evy will die again—but this time there’s no second chance. . .

The Better Part of Darkness
Kelly Gay
(Charlie Madigan #1)
Published November 26th 2009
Charlie Madigan is a divorced mother of one, and a kick-ass cop trained to take down the toughest human and off-world criminals. She's recently returned from the dead after a brutal attack, an unexplained revival that has left her plagued by ruthless nightmares and random outbursts of strength that make doing her job for Atlanta P.D.'s Integration Task Force even harder. Since the Revelation, the criminal element in Underground Atlanta has grown, leaving Charlie and her partner Hank to keep the chaos to a dull roar. But now an insidious new danger is descending on her city with terrifying speed, threatening innocent lives: a deadly, off-world narcotic known as ash. Charlie is determined to uncover the source of ash before it targets another victim — but can she protect those she loves from a force more powerful than heaven and hell combined?

Ooo, I want Three Days To Dead as well. I Have The Better Park of Darkness in my TBR pile but not read it yet! Great choices this week - as ever! :)
That's funny both books have been on my TBR pile for a while too. I think I need to take a week off work and just read. That would be bliss!
My wishlist

I must have thought these sounded good too. I just checked and have both of them on my Kindle. I haven't had a chance to read either of them yet though. I hope you enjoy them when you get them.
These do sound good!
I have Three days to Dead on my TBR pile and still haven't read it... oops!
I'm on vacation. That means: freelance writing, doing some web design work for clients and looking for a job. But when I'm not doing any of that stuff I'm reading or having fun. Come see what I'm wishing for.
Very cool picks! I hope you enjoy them when you get them. :)
On My Wishlist
If any of you are keen on audiobooks, Three Days to Dead will be released on audio via Tantor Audio at the end of this month. In the interest of full disclosure, I'll confess to being the narrator...but that aside, this was a wonderful read. Evy/Evangeline truly makes the series a great ride...snarky, sassy, angry, among other things. Enjoy it when you do get to it!
